I've been thinking about this for a while and I realized that there are two scenes that actually really mirror each other really well that I didn't even realize.

The scene in the Devlin house when Crystal and Edwin are trying to work together and Edwin says "I could lose - We could lose Charles" is a fantastic way to show that he has slowly come to accept that he is not the only one to care about Charles any more but it also goes to show that Charles is, at the end of the day, his first priority.

He could have let Crystal smash the tape to possibly solve the case for good, as a "the ends justify the means" kind of move, even knowing he could have lost Charles. Lots of shows do it. But he doesn't. He stops her because even though he doesn't know how else to solve the case in that exact second, he can't risk it if they lose Charles. He even lets Crystal take charge to an extent up until the misery wraith/David shows up in with her preparing the tape.

Later in the show when Edwin is strapped to the table screaming and Crystal shows up to save the day and slide Charles his bag, something kind of similar happens. It's a bit more blink and you'll miss it but it definitely goes to reiterate it's the same for Charles, even if he's a lot more willing to accept new people and change.

Crystal slides him his bag and says "We need to help Edwin." and Charles' first response is to go "So do I." He doesn't say anything about fighting Esther or the snake or say something like "I need to help you" or whatever. He explicitly states that he needs to help Edwin. That him getting to Edwin is his first priority. And to further drive home the similarities, he even has to let Crystal actively save Edwin and doesn't fight her on it while he goes and fights the snake.

It doesn't matter that Crystal already basically said they would save Edwin - that's Charles' job. Crystal literally has to tell him instead what he needs to do.

I don't really know where I'm going with this, I just think it's neat how these two scenes are mirrors of each other and just shows again and again the devotion these two have and how unlike any other show it is. And also how both scenes used Crystal to help save the boys (or at least try to).

Do you ever think about young q!Tazercraft fresh out of the orphanage with no one else but each other? Little Pac wrapping his arms around Mike and holding him as they fall asleep, them going from place to place to find shelter in abandoned shacks and buildings and huddling under the same blanket out of necessity but also because it's comforting to know someone else is there? Pac and Mike never growing out of this habit, especially after the events in prison and the kidnappings on the Island, always finding reason to stay near each other, always bumping shoulders and elbows or casually throwing an arm around each others' shoulders. Always tactile, always so expressive with their love through hugs and physical touch... :(

Back in November, I made a post playing with the idea of in-universe documentaries about Harrow and in that post I mentioned that there would probably be some discussion around the 'Mysterious stranger(s)' that appeared at (What I'm calling, anyway) The Battle of Cairo and (presumably) haven't shown up much sense...but I wanna extend on that. (Believe it or not, this idea came from an episode of the Big Hero Six Cartoon. Highly recommend it if you liked the movie, it's cute.) So, when I say Mysterious Stranger(s) I'm talking about both Marc and Steven as well as Layla. And we'll look at this from the 'The way social Media works' angle, not the documentary angle like I was with Harrow.

Marc and Steven go first - I'm going to assume, like multiple other folks who have come before me - that the general public probably assumes the two of them switching back and form is some magic superpower thing - at this point I'm pretty sure the only thing close to it that's been seen in the superhero world is Bruce/Hulk (Correct me if I'm wrong, please.) so that's why I'm gonna go down that route. I'm sure some folk would catch on to the DID angle the first time they see a video of it (I'm imagining a blurry as-all-hell video of that "That wasn't you, was it Steven?" scene and the one before it.) but I can't see it being a theory that gets up there in popularity quickly (Even though that's..the actual case.)

Layla is also being included in this - Does she get the name 'Scarlet Scarab' from Taweret? Herself? The Internet? What about obscuring her face? (For the most part, Marc and Steven have a mask on, but her face is never covered so-). I can guarantee the "Are you an Egyptian Superhero?" scene would make it onto the internet, at least. And we know fanfiction exists in this universe, so...how long does it take before people start shipping them? I'm dead serious- I can literally see the Tumblr (or whatever this universe's parallel is.) posts.

"Nah. Not yet at least." Leona patted his stomach. "You made for a good snack, by the way. Almost glad you disturbed my nap~"

"Ah, b-but you will be letting me out at some point, yeah?" You nervously asked.

"At some point... not sure when."
